The situation of traffic accident: In fact, the situation of traffic accident in Ho Chi Minh City is at an alarming rate. According to the latest statistics of the Department of Traffic and Transport in Ho Chi Minh City, in April 2010, the city has occurred 98 accidents, killed 91 people and injuring 31 people.
Some of the non-recurring causes of traffic congestion include incidents like car accidents or disabled vehicles, work zones, bad weather, special events, and emergencies. According to the Department of Transportation, incidents account for 25% of traffic congestion, bad weather accounts for 15%, work zones account for 10%, and special events account for 5%.
Cause and Effect: Traffic (1) Although Abu Dhabi is one of the most modern cities in the world, it is facing a problem of traffic congestion. Many residents spend hours stuck in traffic in the city every day.
The most common with traffic congestion are road accident and road capacity which can be blockage traffic flow in cities or in country side for example in London congestion occur in some area not during peak time always during all day which cause time loses and it become serious problem which encourage the governments to find out solution for this phenomenon to decrease it and avoid many.
A traffic accident analysis method based on the accident risk index according to the combination of alignment elements is developed and tested applying geographic information systems (GIS).
As well as being dangerous (being distracted could cause another crash), it also creates congestion as the traffic slows down.
